We are seeking an energetic and authentic leader to drive QPRC’s Infrastructure Services Directorate—overseeing a $159 million operating budget and a $154 million capital works program that shapes the future of transport, water, waste, and community assets for more than 63,000 residents.

The Role
- Provide visionary leadership for major infrastructure and capital works programs.
- Deliver projects that improve roads, bridges, water, sewer, stormwater, and community facilities.
- Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance across a diverse workforce of 226 staff.
- Act as a credible communicator, engaging Councillors, staff, and the community to turn complex challenges into clear outcomes.
About You
You’re an approachable, confident leader who inspires trust and motivates others. You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in civil engineering (or related discipline) and senior leadership experience in infrastructure delivery.
- Highly developed communication skills—able to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Expertise in financial stewardship, project management, and strategic thinking.
- A commitment to innovation, sustainability, and service excellence.
- Experience in local government and the ability to build credibility with Councillors, community, and stakeholders.
