Lithgow City Council is seeking an accomplished leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Director Infrastructure and Project Delivery. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead a significant portfolio of roads, transport, and other infrastructure while helping shape the future of a region undergoing economic transition.
Lithgow is evolving, with the Council delivering a major infrastructure investment program to strengthen liveability, support future growth, and ensure financial sustainability. With more than 900km of roads and associated infrastructure, significant disaster recovery works underway, and major projects supported by government funding, this role offers genuine scale, unique challenges, and the opportunity to deliver outcomes to the community.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead Council’s Infrastructure and Project Delivery Directorate, with responsibility for roads, drainage, transport, recreation, asset management, project delivery, emergency management and disaster recovery. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will drive strategic improvement, service performance and the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects across the LGA.
Lithgow Council is progressing a long-term roads renewal program, including completing disaster recovery works and restoring road access into the Wolgan Valley. You will bring substantial senior leadership experience in infrastructure, roads, transport and asset management, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline. Local government experience will be highly regarded.
If you are a strategic and credible leader ready to drive major infrastructure outcomes and help shape Lithgow’s future, we welcome your application.
