Permanent full time position
We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Community Facilities Project Officer to join our team and drive the successful delivery of strategic projects supporting our organisational goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and is passionate about making an impact to enhancing community facilities within the Hornsby LGA.
Salary
$93,342 to $104,459 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role
- Lead and implement community and cultural facility projects that support the execution of Council’s adopted Plans & Policies.
- Provide timely, professional support to internal teams and external stakeholders involved in project delivery, fostering collaboration and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate and efficient project records to meet reporting requirements, budget expenditure, and compliance requirements, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Assist planning and coordination of asset management initiatives, facility improvements, and capital works, ensuring projects meet legislative standards and operational needs.
Position requirements
- Current Class C Drivers licence
About you
- Knowledge of the operation and management of community facilities.
- Excellent computer literacy and online programs
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
- Advanced project management skills with the capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders ensuring project deliverables are met
- Demonstrated time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks with competing priorities and changing deadlines.
- Understanding of risk management legislation and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) within the facility management industry.
- Commitment and capacity to implement EEO policies.
